This is the official blog post for my upcoming modern resource pack. I currently don't have a name for it, so I'll just refer to it as the "modern resource pack" or simply "resource pack".

Terms


  • You may not distribute or sell any copies of the resource pack, or any files it contains, modified or unmodified.
  • You may not claim the resource pack, or any files it contains, as your own work.
  • You may not use the resource pack, or any files it contains, for illegal or unethical purposes.
  • You may not bundle the resource pack, or any files it contains, with any other resource pack or mod.
  • You are allowed to share the download link, provided that in doing so you do not violate any other terms.
  • You are allowed to publish in-game videos using the resource pack, or any files it contains, provided that in doing so you do not violate any other terms, without crediting the author of this pack. That does not mean credit wouldn't be nice, though. :)

  • You automatically agree to the terms by downloading the resource pack. If you do not agree to the terms, you may not download or use the resource pack.
Installation Instructions
Windows


  1. Download and copy/cut the resource pack .zip file.
  2. Navigate to the .minecraft folder, which is at %appdata%\.minecraft.
    • You can also navigate to C:\Users\YourComputerUserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft (YourComputerUserName) is replaced with your PC username.
    • If you use the latter method, make sure hidden files and folders are shown. (How to show hidden files and folders)
  3. Paste the .zip file in the resourcepacks folder.
  4. Open Minecraft and open ESC > Options.
  5. Select Resource Packs, and then use the arrows to move the resource pack file from the left side to the right.
OS X (Mac)


  1. See Windows; path to minecraft folder in OS X is ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft, where ~ refers to your home directory.
Linux


  1. See Windows; path to .minecraft folder in Linux is ~/.minecraft, where ~ refers to your home directory.
